The MobileDeviceWeb covers the ever-changing and increasingly integrated mobile computing, internet devices world of smartphones, tablets, and ereaders. There may not even be such thing as a “phone” anymore as much as a phone function on a mobile device. Even the term “PDA” seems out of date as what set a PDA apart from a smartphone becomes ever more blurred. Recently Dell announced a new, smaller tablet PC, which by-the-way, also has a phone. Amazon may have made ereaders popular, but Barnes and Noble, Borders, Sony, and now even Google are getting into the mix. Apple has changed the way people think about and use technology and the iPad is no exception. Despite its lack of a phone feature, it’s lack of a hardware keyboard and ability to act as an ereader makes it unique and useful in its own way. The future probably holds more integration and new types of products and technology, but rest assured that the MobileDeviceWeb, with its network of websites, will be there to cover the stories as they unfold into the future.
